Annual Holiday Open House

Mortimer Nursery’s 9th Annual Holiday Open House and 2nd Annual Holiday Dessert Bake-off was a most enjoyable and well-attended event.  The 32 Holiday Bake-off entries were beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. We appreciate the efforts of all our contestants – thank you.  Serving of the Holiday Bake-off entries began at 1:00 PM but customers anxious to sample the delicacies were lining up by 12:30. Desserts were served steadily for the next hour and into the afternoon.

They did an amazing job of sampling and judging all 32 entries. 

Prizes went to the top 3 desserts in both the Adult and Children’s Category.

Adult Category:

First Place: Bonnie Parcell, Cranberry Pecan Pie
Second Place: Frances Sharp, Chocolate Petit fours
Third Place: Lyn Uniacke, Chocolate Almond Upside Down Cake

Children’s Category:

First Place :Robby Gilliland, Cream Puff Christmas Tree
Second Place: Morgan Gandy, Aunt Leslie’s Awesome Banana Bread
Third Place: Amanda Gandy, Black & White Cake

Open House attendees were very generous and brought many boxes of toys to help us support Stepping Stones Agencies.  Toys will be collected until December 22nd.
